Cancellation by Galena Mountain Guides Ltd
When we confirm your booking we are guaranteeing that the trip will depart. If we cancel a trip for any reason prior to the start date, a full refund will be provided. If we are forced to cancel a trip partway in which all participants are still willing and able to continue, a full refund for the unused portion of the trip will be provided.
Trip Cancellation Insurance
After we confirm your trip, Galena Mountain Guides Ltd. cannot refund payment or release you from your contractual obligation except in the conditions stated in our cancellation policy above. To avoid unnecessary cancellation penalties, cancellation insurance is strongly recommended in the event you cannot participate or if your trip is interrupted "for any reason". This type of insurance is available from most insurance companies and we recommend the Simpson Group or Lifestyle. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding our policy or obtaining insurance.
- Medical/Evacuation Insurance
All participants are recommended to have personal, internationally accepted medical insurance for all activities pertaining to your trip, including emergency rescue and evacuation. Please be aware that rescue evacuation expenses are not covered by the province of BC unless you are a citizen of BC and a PEP # has been issued through a Search and Rescue organization, which usually creates major delays in evacuation. Please ensure that your insurance covers "roped travel" if you're booking a more technical trip. We recommend purchasing an annual alpine club membership which includes global rescue/evacuation insurance: American Alpine Club, French Alpine Club, German Alpine Club or Lifestyle.
